Troubleshooting 3rd Party Cookies

The media streaming service UCLA uses (Kaltura) requires that you have third party cookies enabled on your browsers.

Instructions

If you cannot view the video to the right, and receive the following error message, 

"It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies."

Mac OS

Safari

  1. Go to the Safari drop-down menu.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Click Privacy.

  4. Uncheck Block All Cookies under Cookies and website data.

Chrome

  1. Go to the Chrome drop-down menu.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Click Advanced (very bottom of the page)

  4. Scroll down and click Site Settings

  5. Click Cookies

  6. Uncheck the box next to "Block third-party cookies" to enable cookies.

  7. It will automatically save.

Firefox

  1. Go to the Firefox drop-down menu.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Click Privacy & Security.

  4. Under Browser Privacy select Standard.

Windows

Edge

  1. Go to the Edge drop-down menu (on the top-right corner of the screen).

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Click on Advanced Settings/View Advanced Settings.

  4. Scroll down to Cookies and select Don't block cookies.

Chrome

  1. Select the Chrome menu icon (three horizontal lines usually on the top-right corner of your screen)

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Near the bottom of the page, select Show advanced settings.

  4. In the Privacy section, select Content settings.

  5. Select Allow local data to be set (recommended).

Select Done.
