Hypothesis (Collaborate & Annotate with Hypothesis | Online Annotation Tool ) is a third party, LTI tool that facilitates student annotation of source material within the learning management system (Bruin Learn).

When to use it

When you want to engage students through annotation. An example of a specific use case scenario is for close reading assignments.

How to use it

To use Hypothesis,

  1. Create new assignment

  2. Under submission type, choose external tool

  3. Scroll down the list and select Hypothesis
