Bruin Learn - Cross-listing Requests

Cross-Listing Course Sites in Bruin Learn

Cross-Listing TA sites in Bruin Learn

  • In the case you want to cross-list three TA sites (say sections A,B, and C), and you want all of them to point to A, do the following:

    • cross-list B to A

    • cross-list C to A

  • To cross-list a TA site in Bruin Learn, first have the instructor of the course create the desired TA sites (must be done under the Faculty Tab in MyUCLA, RITCs cannot do this on behalf of faculty.)

  • Next, find and open the TA Sites to be cross-listed in separate tabs within your internet browser.

  • Chose the TA Site you will be cross-listing the other site (s) to.

    • For example, if you have 3 TA Sites to cross-list, choose site A as the one all sections will be cross-listed into.

  • Now, navigate to the Bruin Learn site for TA Section C, go to Settings, then click on the “Section” tab for the Section C site.

  • Under “Course Sections” click on the blue link for Section C. This will bring you into the Enrollments Screen. To the right you will see a gray button that says “Cross List this Section”.

  • Click the “Cross-list this Section” button. This will open the cross-list window. On the lower part of the window, where it says “Enter Course ID”, enter the course ID number found in the course URL.

    • Example: https://bruinlearn.ucla.edu/courses/136849, in this course the ID number is 136849. This is the number you would enter for the Course ID search.

  • Once you have located the TA site section you wish to cross-list to, select “Cross-List this Section”

    • In our example, the site we are cross-listing to is Section A, so we entered the Course ID for TA Site Section A into the search.

  • This will then push the enrollment info from TA Site Section C into TA Site Section A. A refresh of the Course Sections page (located in Course Settings) will now show enrollment for both Section A and Section C under TA Site Section A.

  • Repeat these steps to cross-list Section B into Section A.
