Adding a news item to your page

When news is posted to your department website it will most likely show up in two places, if designated: on the landing page of your website in a column below the header image, and as a main menu item. Each website is different in where News appears, and occasionally News will have a title other than News (such as spotlight). Regardless, all non-event related items you wish to appear in the aforementioned section can be added using the following steps.

  1. In your dashboard go to Posts/Add New.
  2. Add the title of the News post in the title box.
  3. Add the News information in the main paragraph box - you can easily add styling, images, etc. as you would with your typical page design.
  4. In the Categories box click "News" or the title of the section it would appear within if your news section has a different name.
  5. Either preview or publish the item once ready.
