How to edit the home page Columns?

  1. Please login to the back end of the website by going to this url - department.ucla.edu/login . Please solve the math problem and make sure you are on VPN. 

  2. Once you are logged in, you will see the Dashboard.

  3. Hover your mouse on the top left corner where you see your department name, click on “Visit Site”. This will take you to the home page of the website but with the editing tools. 

  4. You should be on the home page of your site. Click on the “Edit Page” link on the top bar of the website which will open up the backend for the home page. 

  5. You will see 2 sections Homepage Image and Homepage columns. 

  6. Usually according to your website settings you will 3 columns - “Page Excerpt” or “Recent Posts” or “Upcoming Events” and so on and forth. 

  7. You can add up to 4 but we suggest sticking with 3 columns for better.
