Renaming/Deleting menus

Occasionally the title of a page is not how you want it to appear in the Menus you create (i.e. Summer Courses instead of Summer Courses 2015) - it is easy to change the actual menu item name from the page in which it is linking to:

  1. Go Appearance/Menu.
  2. Select the menu you wish to edit the particular page within.
  3. Find the item within the menu, and click the arrow down.
  4. In the box "Navigation Label" change the text to what you want displayed in the menu - please note that the original page name appears in the box "original" in case you need to know for reference.
  5. Click "Save Menu" an check the menu on the live site.

Deleting a Menu Item

In order to delete a menu item you will: 

  1. Go Appearance/Menu.
  2. Select the menu you wish to edit the particular page within.
  3. Find the item within the menu, and click the arrow down.
  4. In the box there is a "Remove" option - click this.
  5. Click "Save Menu" an check the menu on the live site.
