Humnet E-Mail

Humnet E-mail addresses are Office 365 accounts that are provided & supported by Enterprise Messaging. With a Humnet E-mail account you will also have access to the O365 Apps online. Access to mobile O365 apps is provided but needs to be requested per account.

Who is eligible for a Humnet E-Mail Account?

  • All Humanities Staff and Faculty are eligible for a Humnet E-mail address. These accounts may be given to graduate students too but it is on a case by case basis.

Requesting a Humnet E-Mail Account for New Users:

  • Requests for a Humnet e-mail accounts need to be submitted by the DTA to Network Services. See Accounts & Services for detailed instructions.

How to access WebMail?

  1. Humnet E-mail accounts can be accessed online by going to https://portal.office.com

  2. You will need to login with your username in the following format: <uclalogonid>@ad.ucla.edu

  3. After entering your username at the O365 page then you will be redirected to a UCLA O365 page where you will need to enter your email password.

  4. Once landing page for your O365 account appears then you can select the Mail tile.

Configuring Humnet E-Mail on Outlook for PC:

Open Outlook and click Next

Click Next to continue

 

Replace information with desired email account setup information

Enter the email address for the account in the following format: <uclalogonid>@ad.ucla.edu

 

Enter account password and check box for Remember my credentials

 

Configuring Humnet E-Mail on Outlook for Mac:

Open Outlook

Go to Outlook>Preferences

 

Click Accounts under Personal Settings.

 

Click ‘+’ and select New Account

 

Enter the email address for the account in the following format: <uclalogonid>@ad.ucla.edu

Press Continue

Outlook will redirect you to a UCLA O365 login page. Enter the email
password for the account and press Sign In.

 

You may get a certificate notification, if so, press continue.

 

If prompted again, enter the email password for the account. Then press OK

 

Then press Done.
