When news is posted to your department website it will most likely show up in two places, if designated: on the landing page of your website in a column below the header image, and as a main menu item. Each website is different in where News appears, and occasionally News will have a title other than News (such as spotlight). Regardless, all non-event related items you wish to appear in the aforementioned section can be added using the following steps.
- In your dashboard go to Posts/Add New
- Add the title of the News post in the title box
- Add the News information in the main paragraph box - you can easily add styling, images, etc. as you would with your typical page design
- In the Categories box click "News" or the title of the section it would appear within if your news section has a different name
- Either preview or publish the item once ready
