UCLA Central IT used to have the record function enabled by default in Zoom, but as of 3/26/2020, they set the default to have it disabled. The UCLA tech community has requested that the default be reverted back, but until that gets approved, below are the 3 steps for turning it back on:

Login with your UCLA Single-Sign-On (SSO) information
Set “Local Recording” to “on”. Your settings should look like the image below.
