A survey in Bruin Learn is similar to the questionnaire tool in CCLE (Moodle). Like the Bruin Learn Quiz tool, surveys can be graded or ungraded.

To create a survey, go through the same steps to create a quiz in Bruin Learn. However, when selecting the “Quiz Type”, select 'Graded Survey” or “Ungraded Survey” instead of one of the quiz options. All other settings can be changed depending on the intended purpose of the survey.

Uses for Surveys:

The primary purpose of a survey is as a tool to collect feedback from a course. Surveys can be used in Bruin Learn to acquire student opinions on the effectiveness of a teaching/learning model. They can be used to measure student or teaching assistant satisfaction at critical points through the academic term (midterms or finals). Surveys can also be created in collaboration sites used by faculty for voting (can select for survey participants to be anonymous within the survey settings). If the results of a particular survey are critical, course instructors can opt to create a graded survey to encourage participation.
