Within Bruinlearn, it is possible to create two kinds of quizzes, graded or practice. The process of creation for both types of quizzes is very similar with the exception of a few small changes made within the quiz settings.

To create a practice quiz, go through the same steps to create a graded quiz in Bruinlearn. However, when selecting the “Quiz Type”, select 'Practice Quiz” instead of graded quiz. All other settings can be changed depending on the intended purpose of the practice quiz.

Uses for Practice Quizzes:

The primary purpose of a practice quiz or an ungraded quiz is as a learning tool to see how well users understand course material without providing a grade. This is a tool best used for personal (student) assessment to measure understanding of course content as opposed to a graded assessment conducted by the instructor of the course.
