Android

Step 1 (Android): Download and install the Outlook app via Google Play

To access your Humnet email via an Android device we recommend downloading the Outlook mail client from the Google Play store at no cost.

Step 2 (Android): Tap 'Get Started'

Once installed, open the application and tap ‘Get Started’ if it is your first time setting up an account:

Step 3 (Android): Enter your Humnet email address

Step 4 (Android): Enter your Humnet username

In this window, enter your username (with @ad.ucla.edu), similarly to logging into your mail via Outlook Web Access in a web browser.

Step 5 (Android): Automatic redirection

As soon as you complete your full username you will be redirected to a UCLA sign in page to complete the authentication. Sign in with your username and password.

Step 6 (Android): Success!

Once connected to your mailbox it will load your mail. The time this takes may vary depending on the speed of your connection.

Apple iOS

Step 1 (iOS): Download Outlook from the App Store

You can also download the Outlook app from the App Store and then add your account following the same steps as for an Android device.

Step 2 (iOS): Alternative, Using Mail App

Follow the pictured steps to add your account via the Apple Mail app.

Go to your device’s Settings, scroll down to Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

Select Exchange.

Enter your Office 365 email address, password, and a description of your account. Tap Next.

If you’re prompted to enter server settings, enter the following and tap Next. Email: your full email address. Serveroutlook.office365.comUsername: your full Humnet username. Password: your email password.

The Mail app may request certain permissions such as accessing your calendar and contacts. To agree, tap Yes. Then choose the apps you want your email account to sync with your iOS device and tap Save.

Now you’re all set to go!
