[IN PROGRESS] Self-recording Attendance with CCLE Attendance Tool

The Attendance Tool in CCLE can be used to keep track of student attendance in a given course. Specifically, this set of instructions will guide instructors in setting up the tool such that students can mark themselves as present.

  1. Locate the week/section where you would like to place the attendance tool. The default landing page for the course site (“Site Info”) may be a good option if you plan on using the tool across the quarter.

  2. With editing turned on (orange button at top right of page), select “Add an activity or resource” at the bottom of the page.

  3. Choose “Attendance” from the list of options. Add a name, description, and number of points for grading purposes if applicable. Click save.

  4. Navigate back to the Attendance module and click on the “Add session” tab at the top of the page. Specify the windows during which you would like students to be able to record their attendance. From here, there are two options:

    1. Static Password

    2. Rotating Password (changes every 15 seconds)
