LTI - New Quizzes (Canvas)

This is a plugin for the New Quizzes Tool within Bruin Learn. It is listed as an LTI Assignments based tool for LMS-based quizzes, according to the Assignment External-tool blurb under this option.

When used in the Assignments option in Bruin Learn, Quizzes 2 LTI External Tool creates a New Quiz. Instructors will find themselves within the New Quiz editing screen upon creating an Assignment with the Quizzes 2 External Tool enabled.

New Quizzes is a new quiz LMS-based quiz option currently in beta within Bruin Learn. It is projected by Bruin Learn development to eventually replace current Quiz too (Classic Quizzes).

An alternative to using the Quizzes 2 LTI External Tool within Bruin Learn Assignments is to enable the use of New Quizzes within your Bruin Learn course Settings. This can be done following the directions below:

• Log into Bruin Learn using bruinlearn.ucla.edu

• Navigate to your course in the Dashboard or under Courses.

• In the left-hand navigation menu, scroll down until you see “Settings” and select it.

• Select the “Featured Options” tab at the top of the screen.

• Scroll down until you see “New Quizzes”, and make sure the icon to the right of it is a green circle with a check box. If it is not, click on the red circle with an “X” that is in it’s place to turn this option on within your course site.

• Then, navigate to the Quizzes section within the left-hand navigation menu of your course site.

• Follow the directions provided below in the Canvas Community instructions for creating New Quizzes.
