Consultations
If you have an idea for a research project but are uncertain about the next steps, or if you're looking for the best tools to visualize your data or share your results, HumThink is here to assist you! Feel free to email us at ritc@humtech.ucla.edu. We offer consultations for digital scholarship projects at any stage of development, from initial conceptualization to full implementation. Our consultations are conducted by members of the HumThink staff, DH faculty, as well as graduate student Research and Instructional Technology Consultants (RITC’s). With diverse academic backgrounds and expertise, we can provide valuable guidance on a wide array of digital humanities-related topics, addressing questions related to project scope, planning, best practices, data management, tool selection, and much more.
We offer short-term consulting on issues related to digital research data and methodologies, such as:
Identify the people and resources at UCLA best positioned to contribute to your project (see Campus Partners)
Advise on the various options and best practices for documenting your work and managing, storing, and disseminating the data produced by your project
Suggest possible funding sources and offer advice on how to write a successful grant proposal
[scheduling calendar]
We also highly recommend scheduling a consultation prior to applying for the HumThink Research Award.
